ISO Shaft Standards

Below are the current  ISO standards as used on all production vessels with metric dimensions since their introduction ~ 1991.

Some installations pre this date may have differing threads that can be accomodated eg M18 x 2, M18 x 2.5 etc ..

CAUTION:   Some VETUS shafts may not adhere to this standard with for example 8 x 8 keyways on ISO 25 tapers.

Please check to ensure the current shaft / taper / keyway / thread dimensiuons are all to standard.

Keyways that are non standard can be fitted with a stepped key milled to the differing dimensions on just half the key.
